Overview of Food Services
Dear Parent or Guardian of New Providence Students:
As New Providence's Food Service provider, it is our goal to offer a program that meets not only the likes of the students but also provides sound nutrition. The complete lunches served provide one-third of a student's daily Recommended Dietary Allowance.
The cafeterias offer a balanced meal each day. Every day the elementary cafeteria offers six meal options, including two hot meal choices plus a new weekly hot alternate, a weekly deli sandwich alternate, a fresh salad platter lunch, a yogurt parfait lunch, and a bagel lunch.
At the high school, Pomptonian features our innovative “Edge of the Whirl” food court concept. Six different serving stations are offered on a daily basis including a premium Boar"s Head deli bar and a self serve pasta station, which, starting in September, features an International selection one day per week. Additionally, in September, Pomptonian will introduce a yogurt bar with fresh fruit.
For your convenience and security, a computerized POS cash register system is available in all schools in the district. This system helps the lunch lines move faster, allowing the students more time to enjoy their meal.
