The New Providence Board of Education has the honor of selecting four teachers representing each of our schools for the Union County Teacher Recognition Program, which acknowledges educators for their commitment to their students and their profession.
We are soliciting recommendations from staff, parents, and students.

Congratulations to New Providence High School which has been named to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll with gold distinction!
We are very pleased to announce that New Providence High School has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning gold distinction for the 2024-2025 school year by the College Board.
NPHS had 66% of seniors who took at least one AP exam during high school, 62% scoring a three or higher on at least one AP exam, and 13% who took five or more AP exams!

New Providence School District's Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for the 13th Consecutive Year
New Providence School District has once again been named a "Best Community for Music Education" by the NAMM Foundation! 2025 is the 13th consecutive, and 14th overall, year being recognized for our excellent music opportunities for our students. Our continued achievement solidifies the District and our community as a consistent leader in music education in the state of New Jersey.
The BCME award program recognizes and celebrates outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.
